Apprenticeships at FERALPI STAHL

Our workforce of around 900 currently includes some 50 apprentices, whom we train in the following trades: machine and plant operator*, process engineer*, cutting machine operator*, industrial mechanic*, industrial clerk*, electronics technician* for industrial engineering, and materials tester* (*m/f/d).

Throughout their apprenticeship, trainees are supported by a mentor who imparts extensive knowledge of steel production. The distances involved are short: both the Riesa Vocational School for Technology and Business, which covers the theoretical aspects, and the Qualifizierungszentrum Region Riesa GmbH, which handles the practical training, are located in the immediate vicinity of the plant.
